As European integration progresses systematically, statutory accident insurance systems are also taking on a wider economic, legal and strategic scope within Europe. It is therefore important to be well informed of the processes at work in Brussels in order to play an active role in achieving common objectives.
Thus, the DGUV maintains a European representation in Brussels together with the umbrella associations of the statutory pension and health insurance sectors.
The European representation observes and analyses all relevant developments in the process of European integration and represents the interests of the DGUV at European level. In addition, the European representation cooperates with many social protection organizations in other EU countries in the context of the European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP).
