Managers and employees from the garment and leather industry in Bangladesh attended a train-the-trainer seminar on "occupational integration" (Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement/BEM) between 19 and 23 August 2019.
The seminar took place at the Institute for Work and Health (IAG) of the DGUV in Dresden. It is part of the project "Employment Injury Protection Scheme for Workers in the Garment and Leather Industries", which the DGUV carries out with the support of GIZ in Bangladesh. The aim is to establish an accident insurance system in Bangladesh that protects employees in the long term against medical health and financial consequences of accidents at work and occupational diseases.
