Since 2009, the International Strategy Conference has taken place every two or three years in the DGUV Academy in Dresden. It is organized by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). A variety of international and national organizations are involved in the preparation of the conference.
The International Strategy Conference offers international and national organizations a common platform to exchange ideas about existing strategies for occupational safety and health. Participants can talk about new framework conditions for strategic action in a constantly changing world of work. They can also discuss how to improve the coordination of strategies and action plans at both international and national levels.
The following issues were and are the reasons for having the Strategy Conferences in Dresden:
What national and international strategies are there in the field of OSH? How are the international strategies implemented at the national level? What are the priority topics for future strategies to improve occupational safety and health? How can the strategies from different policy areas be better interconnected? What is the best way to optimize the coordination between different strategic approaches?
