Prevention of work-related complaints and diseases of the hand-arm system

In a project led by several social accident insurance institutions and the IFA, information was drawn up on the avoidance of work-related complaints and diseases of the hands, arms, elbows and shoulders (in short, the hand-arm system). The information is available for download (PDF, 9,7 MB) (in German).

The information is aimed at production and construction companies who use work equipment (products) which causes vibration and/or physical stress upon the hand-arm system. The information is also available to companies in other sectors and is to enable them to identify and evaluate tasks which particularly impose stress upon the hand-arm system. In addition, model solutions for the planning of design measures are presented.
