Occupational exposure limit values (OELs)

Current information

The first TRGS 900 (Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances, in German) with occupational exposure limit values (OELs) for the new Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV) of December 2004 was published in January 2006. It is usually updated twice a year.

The latest updates as of June 2024 (PDF, 123 kB, accessible) are available for downloading (in German).

The Gefahrstoffliste (List of hazardous substances, in German only) summarises the main regulations governing occupational safety and health, together with complementary remarks, in the form of a table.

The Grenzwerteliste (List of Limit Values, in German only) issued by the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) contains the most important limit values for chemical, biological and physical agents which have an impact on health and safety in the workplace.
